Chronic Fatigue

Arthritis and Chronic Fatigue SyndromeSome researchers also believe that chronic fatigue syndrome is linked to despondency, nervous tension, and angst. Individuals racked by despondency are often prone to CFS also.

Other factors involved include dehydration, an abnormal loss of water from the body, which can cause chronic fatigue as a secondary effect. Likewise, a deficiency of vitamins and minerals can lead to chronic fatigue due to the lack of vital elements required for the body to function normally.

An understanding of these causative agents of chronic fatigue syndrome leads to the success of therapies for the treatment of this disorder.

Eat a well-balanced, nutritious diet. Be sure to incorporate healthful foods, including a variety of fruits and vegetables. These are important, as they supply you with vitamins and minerals that strengthen the body’s immune system.

In addition, include garlic and onion in your daily menu, as these also enhance the body’s immune system. Include protein that is high in omega 3, 6, and 9 (found in soy products, chicken, fish), as these aid in promoting the body’s health.

But stay away from large amounts of fat and sugar in your diet, as these lead to lethargy and sluggishness. Always eat a healthful breakfast and change your eating habits from three large meals each day to smaller, more frequent meals, as this will serve to increase your body’s metabolism and keep them high throughout the day.

Get out of bed in the morning and stay active throughout the day. Even if you have CFS, you do not need constant rest and sleep. Habitual activity helps fight the characteristic sluggishness and enervation.

Moderate activity for fifteen to thirty minutes followed by thirty minutes of a more demanding activity such as aerobics, swimming, and tennis can greatly improve the health of your heart and your circulatory system.

Research has found a major link between worry, tension, and the onset of CFS. It follows that eliminating tress-causing factors in your life and learning to handle stress better will help to fend off chronic fatigue. Additionally, as you have less stress and learn to manage it better, not only will you have fewer difficulties with chronic fatigue, but your relationships, health, and overall well being will improve, making the world look like a better, brighter place.
